Wimborne ride(Dorset)

The Wimborne ride is a firm favorite with me and others that have come along on it.
Starting out from Bournemouth centre along the greenway that starts in Bournemouth's upper gardens or from Canford Heath to Wimborne. Back down the Castleman Trailway, which is an old decomissioned railway, to Upton country park and then along Holes Bay to Poole Quay.
To extend the ride on this occasion we went NW from Wimborne over to the northern side of Badbury rings and round back to the south through down an old Roman road to Sturminster Marshall over the old Mill and onto Lytchett Matravers and Upton country park and then Poole Quay. This extended route does miss out the Castleman Trail which in itself is great but this is lovely option if you wat to see and do a bit more. From Poole Quay we would take the cycle path along Baiter's water front and Whitecliff with wonderful views across Poole harbour.
Getting back on the road briefly through Lilliput and up to Evening Hill which provides more stunning views across Poole Harbour then down the hill to Shore Road where we pick up the promenade all the way back to Bournemouth pier.

Kennet and Avon(Bristol to London)

Last year a friend and I cycled along the Kennt and Avon canal tow paths from Bristol to London.
This was a lovely ride, not only because of the wonderful scenery but also because there(obviously) weren't any hills on the tow paths. Having said that there were parts where the tow paths weren't usable and we did have to clomb the odd hill but nothing major.
